By accessing or using Miles ("the Service"), operated at heymiles.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including the web application, browser extension, and any related APIs or integrations.
2. Description of Service
Miles is an AI-powered personal operator that helps professionals manage their daily workflow. The Service includes:
- Daily Briefings — AI-generated summaries of your upcoming meetings, relevant emails, and action items.
- Meeting Intelligence — contextual preparation materials and related email threads for your meetings.
- Contact Management — a relationship graph built from your calendar and email interactions.
- Email Assistance — drafting and sending emails on your behalf when you explicitly request it.
- Calendar Management — viewing and creating calendar events on your behalf.
- Browser Extension — contextual assistance on supported websites (Google Meet, Zoom, Google Docs).
- Team Collaboration — sprint management, task assignment, and team coordination tools.
3. Account Registration
- You must create an account to use Miles. You may register using Google Sign-In.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Google Account Integration
Miles requires connection to your Google account to provide its core features. By connecting your Google account, you authorize Miles to access the Google services described in our Privacy Policy.
- You can revoke Miles' access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page or from Miles settings.
- Revoking Google access will disable features that depend on calendar, email, and document data.
- Miles' use of Google data is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Browser Extension
The Miles browser extension provides additional functionality on supported websites. By installing the extension, you agree that:
- The extension will only activate on supported sites (Google Meet, Zoom, Google Docs, and heymiles.app).
- The extension does not collect or transmit browsing data from unsupported sites.
- You can disable or uninstall the extension at any time through your browser settings.
- The extension requires certain browser permissions (active tab, storage, side panel) to function. These are used solely to provide the described features.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk automated emails.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service through automated means without permission.
7. AI-Generated Content
Miles uses artificial intelligence to generate briefings, email drafts, summaries, and other content. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date.
- You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before acting on it or sending it to others.
- AI-generated email drafts are not sent until you explicitly confirm and approve the action.
- Miles does not guarantee the accuracy of contact enrichment data, meeting summaries, or other AI-generated insights.
8. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the property of Miles and is protected by intellectual property laws.
- You retain ownership of your data (emails, documents, contacts, notes). By using the Service, you grant Miles a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the Service.
- You may not use the Miles name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.
9. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Service Availability
- We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service.
- We may perform scheduled maintenance, which may temporarily affect availability.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice.
- We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

12. Limitation of Liability

- Miles is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
- In no event shall Miles be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Miles, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.
